The client's ask:

Drive deposit growth via a multichannel campaign across social, display, cafe screens, site, email and SEM/Affiliates by leveraging a special CD rate for a limited-time offer.

The creative approach:

Created a cohesive, compelling campaign with assets across rate-led and non-rate versions in both lifestyle and typographical visual treatments. We focused imagery on the primary design target of 45+ older high-balance customers, with messaging centered around locking in the limited-time rate admits the falling rate environment.

The impact:

Drove incremental external new money by leveraging a highly competitive CD rate for a limited term offer. The campaign was expected to drive approximately $1-Billion in external new money.

Social Media & Display

Initially asked to develop three ad set variations, through our messaging and imagery exploration, our team ended up executing seven ad sets in total. Our main concepts included messages that encouraged customers to "lock in a special rate" message, highlighted guaranteed returns in a falling rate environment, and stressed urgency for this limited-time promo.

Website & Email

In addition to a custom landing page where customer's would arrive to learn more , this campaign entailed numerous site placements to drive traffic from the rest out the Capital One website. From the homepage to consumer bank pages, campaign-specific ads would run during the limited-time CD promotional period. Every placement used a visually cohesive design to remind browsing customers of the offer even after the first impression.

Animated Digital Signage

Capital One Cafés are part bank, part café–all in one convenient and welcoming space. Café digital signage allowed our campaign to reach customers and prospects while enjoying their favorite beverage in a comfortable space. Taking advantage of the slower-paced 30-second spots, the campaign screens feature subtle motion graphics to draw attention in a busy enviorment.
