Client: Douglas Bee Apiary / Planting Hope Apiary

Established in 2014, Douglas Bee Apiary & Planting Hope Apiary began as part of the Delaware Department of Agriculture’s Veteran Beekeeper program. Both apiaries have grown into businesses that produces honey, utilizes apiary beeswax for candles, and produces both nucleus colonies, as well as, local queens for sale. Douglas Bee Apiary also offers bee removal services in New Castle County.

Interested in supporting of the local bee-keeping community, Kristen met owner Duane Douglas in February 2020. Offering design services, Kristen proposed a branding effort for the newer Douglas Bee Apiary.

After developing their brand identity, Kristen has since designed and managed Douglas Bee Apiary's ecommerce website. On the site, customers can explore the apiary's services, shop for honey products, and pre-order nucleous colonies and queen bees.
